As a professional wedding planner, Cassie knew what she wanted: a look that felt fresh, unique and special. Doug, her fiancé, also knew what he wanted: to introduce San Francisco to his Chicago-based family using traditional City by the Bay elements.
To create a twist on classic ballroom décor, we collected florals in shades of burgundy, plum, and blush. The bold, moody colors created a unique feel while enhancing the elegance of Julia Morgan Ballroom.
We also designed an asymmetrical crown of apricot and marsala flowers to adorn the chuppah. In a sweet nod to tradition, the groom’s mother’s wedding veil was nestled amongst the blossoms. Nude quicksand roses with delicate cascading greenery marked the ceremony aisle, ushering Cassie forward to Doug with an air of romance.
Florals helped transition the space from ceremony to reception. Locally-grown Cafe au Lait dahlias and David Austin Juliet roses popped against deep and sultry hydrangeas, creating show-stopping centerpieces. Surrounded by this truly one-of-a-kind atmosphere, guests from near and far felt the magic of love bringing them together.
